after all this time? always.

Long before we knew that Severus Snape was on our side, there was one person who was in on the secret. Joanne Rowling had told nobody but him about the future of their character. And that’s what set apart Alan Rickman.

The man who brought us Col. Brandon, was known for many career-defining roles long before he became the most hated character after Dolores Umbridge. He unified millions of potterheads all over the world in their directed hatred of Snape. And then he held us together while we sobbed in unison at the realization of his undying love and unmatched bravery. This wasn’t Joanne’s brilliant writing. This was purely Alan Rickman. We have heard the vengeance in his voice, felt the despair in his heart, and seen the pain in his eyes. He will continue to remain our hope for relentless love. Nothing will quieten what he has left behind in my heart – a little chaos.

Note – In May 2014, I got inked for the first time. On my left wrist are the Deathly Hallows designed with the word : Always.

Alan Rickman immortalised a word, a page number and a character!
